Welcome To Connections For Youth!Participate

To participate, the youth must be in one or more of the following categories: current or former foster youth, youth who have been placed in an out of home placement through guardianship, kinship, probation or non related extended family member services or youth who are ILP (Independent Living Program) eligible, between the ages of 8 and 19 years old, willing to explore, experience and be motivated by caring adults.
A youth may join the program by filling out the Participant Application Form or a youth may be referred by a foster parent, social worker, attorney, school counselor, or teacher by completing the Referral Application Form.
Please fill out and submit the appropriate forms to Connections for Youth, Inc via email, fax or mail. You will be contacted to acknowledge receiving the application and discuss options for adventures.

Enrollment process

After the application is reviewed a phone interview will be conducted with adults who are familiar with the child (such as a foster parent, social worker, attorney, school counselor, teacher etc.) to determine the appropriateness of the program for the applicant.

Volunteer

There are plenty of ways to get involved with Connections for Youth, Inc. such as being an Assistant Guide for hiking, biking, plays, musicals, festivals and cultural events. Connections for Youth, Inc. events require food, beverages, paper plates, transportation for our youth and volunteer support before, during and after the event. If you have some time and are interested helping at one of our events please don’t hesitate to fill out our Volunteer Application Form and return it to Connections for Youth, Inc via email, fax or mail. You will be contacted to acknowledge receiving the application and discuss options for volunteering.

Background Check

Volunteers need to complete a Live Scan criminal justice background check prior to volunteering. This can be done at any point during the application process. Yes, even if you have done a Live Scan recently, we are required to obtain a new one.
