Welcome To Connections For Youth!
Connections for Youth, Inc. (Connections) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community outreach organization dedicated to serving foster youth in Sacramento County by providing the opportunity to experience nature, culture, and the arts by taking youth on trips and creating life long memories that motivate and inspire. The shared experiences will help to build self-esteem and long lasting relationships with adults and peers.
Participants can include youth who are in one or more of the following categories: current or former foster youth, youth who have been placed in an out of home placement through guardianship, kinship, probation or non related extended family member services or youth who are ILP (Indepenent Living Program) eligible.
Participants can be recommended to participate in a Connections event by a resource family parent (formerly called foster parent), county social worker, CASA worker, ILP social worker, teacher, principal, coach, mentor or attorney. Youth can fill out the Participant Application Form and a Connections representative will contact an appropriate adult to complete the referral form.
